Incoloy® alloy 825 (UNS N08825) is a nickel-iron-chromium austenitic alloy enhanced with molybdenum, copper, and titanium. Designed for outstanding corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing environments, this alloy exhibits excellent resistance to chloride-induced stress-corrosion cracking and pitting. The inclusion of titanium stabilizes the alloy, preventing sensitization in the as-welded condition and ensuring resistance to intergranular attack—an issue that typically affects unstabilized stainless steels exposed to sensitizing temperature ranges. Incoloy® alloy 825 is highly versatile in fabrication, offering excellent formability and weldability across various techniques, similar to other nickel-based alloys.
